Cut-Outs Cardboard Plexiglass Forex Aluminum
I have created cut-outs since 2011.
My works are always without background, this is because I only focus on parts of my perception. So it seemed obvious to me to cut out the shapes and reassemble them into three-dimensional objects.
I use materials like cardboard, plastic, plexiglass, and aluminum panels.

CUT-OUT NEMO
For me, Amsterdam’s NEMO Science Center is part ship and part dragonfly. It lets people sail into its harbors to see what already exists, and then lets them fly over it all to see what is still possible. Like a dragonfly with two sets of wings—one is used to hover over all that is, and another to discover all that is yet to be.

INSPIRATION FOR CUT-OUT BURI SIRI
In January 2020, the world still seemed to be in some order. The view from my hotel room in Chiang Mai, Thailand, struck me as a fascinating composition. BURI SIRI means BEAUTIFUL TOWN.

CUT-OUT GROSSE REISE
As the ship of my own life sails from port to port, docking to make splendid memories before moving on, I continue approach life with a passion to find out what new aspect is next. I don’t know what truths I might find, or what absolutes might be there waiting. I only know every journey leaves me more excited than the last to uncover what I have not yet seen. It is the lure of uncharted waters that excites me, even more than the destination to which they lead.
